“Nature as its Finest”

People have different ways on how to distress. It could be with family and relatives, with friends, with strangers or to be into a new and comfortable place. Me? I would like to be relieved with nature. But why? Simply because when I’m surrounded with nature, I can feel its natural way of healing. In addition, this is the cheapest way to unwind. There are wondrous things we can see in our environment. Different forms of natural or man made creation awaits.

Since I lived in a preserved mountainous barangay of Lataban, Liloan, Cebu. I took the advantage of discovering its wonders. Aside from the famous Lataban Hills, there are still other hills that also offers a relaxing and comforting view. It’s called “kub-kawa”. “Kub” or “kulob” means flipped. “Kawa” means “pan”. Upon seeing, you can probably tell the form of the hills looks like a flipped pan.How to get there? From Sm City Cebu , you ride a jeepney going to Liloan. You can use a technological navigation or GPS to be guided or you can ask the driver to dropped you in Eskina Bahak. Ask a motorcycle to send you to Barangay Lataban and dropped you to the gymnasium. Sadly you won’t be able to use any navigation app going there because of poor signal. But the locals are so kind, so no need to worry. Take a more or less hour trek going to the site by asking the locals to guide you towards the top.

Certainly, the tiredness you’ll feel from the trek will be vanished. Instead you’ll be overwhelmed. Feel free to lay on the hut or meditate while grasping the breathtaking beauty of Kub-kawa.

You could wait until 5’0 clock or so in the morning or afternoon to be able to see the sunrise and sunset.

While waiting , take hundreds or even thousands of instagrammable photos with no regrets. It’s really captivating.

You could bring your friends family or love ones here. With some foods with you, take the opportunity to set a picnic. You’ll enjoy the food even better but be sure to take your trash with you. Luckily, I’ve had a chance to do all of these. Won’t you want to have the same experience as mine? Do the same and wander the wonders of nature. The satisfaction you’ll have is priceless. May it be physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually.
